1 Minute Challenge

In numeracy we have been learning about time. We estimated how long 1 minute was by closing our eyes and standing up when we thought the time was up. We recognised that we could count to 60 or count to 30 twice for a more accurate guess.

These photos show our 1 minute challenges. We used a timer to time what we could do in 1 minute.

Forces In Action

In Science this term, we are looking at the forces that are in action around us.  We play on the ‘Adventure’ every week, but we have never really thought before about the forces that we use to move around the equipment.  We enjoyed having an extra playtime, shouting out the forces that we were creating, and which parts of our bodies we were using to create them.

Welcome to Term 5!

Well, what a busy start we have had to our new term!  We have already been on our first trip to Woodside Falconry Centre, and we had a fantastic time.  As you can see from our photographs, we had the chance to get REALLY close to some animals, and we found out lots of information about nocturnal animals in particular.  We hope you enjoy looking at the photos of us on our trip – Mrs. Eills even held the snake, but we didn’t get any photos as she had the camera!IMG_0091 IMG_0092 IMG_0093 IMG_0094 IMG_0095 IMG_0096 IMG_0097 IMG_0098 IMG_0099 IMG_0100 IMG_0101 IMG_0102 IMG_0103 IMG_0104 IMG_0105 IMG_0106 IMG_0109 IMG_0110 IMG_0113 IMG_0115 IMG_0117 IMG_0118 IMG_0121 IMG_0124 IMG_0126 IMG_0130 IMG_0132 IMG_0134 IMG_0138 IMG_0140 IMG_0141 IMG_0145 IMG_0147 IMG_0149 IMG_0153 IMG_0155 IMG_0156 IMG_0159 IMG_0160 IMG_0162 IMG_0163 IMG_0166 IMG_0169 IMG_0172 IMG_0174 IMG_0176 IMG_0177 IMG_0181 IMG_0183 IMG_0185 IMG_0186IMG_0196 IMG_0189 IMG_0190 IMG_0193 IMG_0194 IMG_0197 IMG_0198 IMG_0200 IMG_0201 IMG_0203 IMG_0204 IMG_0206

Church Visit 12th March 2013

Today we visited St. Edith’s Church in Grimoldby.  Thank you to all the wonderful parent helpers who came along with us – we couldn’t have done it without you!  Also, thank you to Mrs. Baker for organising the visit, and to Reverend Chris for welcoming us into the Church and helping us to find out so much!  Can you name some of the different features of the Church that you can see in these photos?
